Looking Forward to 2009

Elections:
The national elections are over and it’s that time of year for the NFCoC to have their annual elections of officers and board members. The NFCoC welcomes businesses and individuals to join the chamber and volunteer to help with the ongoing projects we must complete. The board member elections will be held on November 14, 2008. Candidates for the board must be NFCoC Business Members in good standing.

It appears that we will see a couple of new faces on the board if the elections go as expected. If you are interested in volunteering to work for the good of the chamber and its member businesses, please call our office at 877-2410 or 877-3088 for more info.
 
Events:
The NFCoC will host its Annual Chamber Dinner and Auction event in March 2009. This is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser each year. We seek auction donations of merchandise, gift certificates or other tangible items from area businesses and individuals who wish to contribute to the Chamber’s ongoing business support and community improvement projects. Auction contributions are a great way to advertise your business or your organization. Remember to include your business card with your donation. Contact the chamber office via phone or email to arrange for your donation delivery or pickup.

The NF Chamber of Commerce will be taking bids from now through Friday January 2, 2009 for the food catering, set up & clean-up portions of our Annual Dinner & Auction event. Please contact the Chamber office if you or someone you know wishes to submit a bid for the work. The NFCoC will announce.....click here for the rest of the newsletter

North Fork Arts & Music Festival
June 7, 2008

Artists, musicians and vendor booths lined up along Main Street in North Fork for an entertaining and fun filled day in the sun. The weather was beautiful with sunny skies and cool breezes. Tourists and locals roamed the downtown area visiting the various booths, listening to the music and enjoying the varied shopping selection. Vendor and artists’ booths included jewelry, crystals, fine arts, photography, candles, hand sewn animal shaped toys, T-shirts, olives, jellies, sauces, dried fruit, baked goods and ready to eat food.

The local downtown merchants welcome the Arts & Music Festival along Main Street as it brings many more people out to shop, which is always good for business. The Chamber wishes to thank the North Fork Arts Council for another great festival!
